When you purchase a gift a form will pop up for you to fill out with the recipients info and pick the month you want the first letter sent.
Upon purchase, we will NOT notify the recipient and ruin the surprise! You will receive a confirmation email that will contain a card describing the gift and what the Family Post Project is. You can print the card so you have something to physically wrap and give to your recipient or you can send it to them digitally. You can also elect to not tell them and let us surprise them with the first letter. It will contain that same card with the explanation and a note it came from you.
Once the gifted membership period runs out we will give them the option to renew.

Only if you say it’s okay. Sometimes we feature a reader’s story or question in a future letter, but we always ask first. We use first names only, or leave your name out completely if you’d like.
-
We read every letter and email. We can’t always send a personal reply, but as mentioned above, with your permission, your words might show up in a future letter.
